The Founder Story
From One Painter With a Standard
It started the way most good trades stories do — with one painter who was tired of watching corners get cut. After years working under crews that rushed prep, left tape on the trim, and treated a customer's home like a jobsite, our founder decided there had to be a better way.
In 2018, NorthHue Coatings was founded in Etobicoke with a simple promise: paint every surface like it is your own home, prep like the finish depends on it (because it does), and treat every customer the way you would want to be treated. No subcontracting the work out. No surprises on the invoice. No walking away until the walkthrough is genuinely approved.
That standard built the company. Word of mouth turned one careful job into five, five into fifty, and today into over 500 completed projects across the Greater Toronto Area — all carrying the same 5.0 reputation our very first customer gave us.
We are still locally owned. Our crews still paint every job. And the standard that started it all has never changed: we paint like it's our own home.
